In Cambridge’s Leamington neighbourhood, Sahara India Restaurant is the place to satisfy all your curry cravings. A favourite among locals, Sahara has earned several awards for its consistently exceptional Indian cuisine, making it a go-to in the Waikato dining scene.

Start your meal with something from the tandoor oven, like the flavourful garlic tikka or a mixed platter of chicken tikka, seekh kebab, samosas and onion bhaji. For a Mediterranean twist, the sigara börek – deep-fried filo pastry rolls filled with feta, spinach and potatoes – offers a delicious change of pace.

When it’s time for mains, Sahara’s rich, slow-cooked curries shine. Dig into melt-in-your-mouth goat curry or the ever-popular paneer tikka masala, each brimming with authentic flavour. Vegetarians are well catered for, with standout dishes like malai kofta: a comforting blend of cottage cheese and potato in a creamy cashew nut sauce.

With a reputation for top-tier food and a warm, welcoming team, Sahara is perfect for a delicious meal out. Whether it’s a casual catch-up or a special celebration, the generous menu and vibrant flavours promise a memorable experience.
