Queenstown’s original gastropub, The Ballarat, prides itself on relaxed dining experiences. Located in the heart of Queenstown’s Mall, it has been described as “like stepping into another world”.

Designed by award-winning Tom Skyring and inspired by an 1850s trading emporium, The Ballarat - as it is known by locals - is something truly unique, embracing the colour of old-world Queenstown.

The menu is all about premium burgers - great ingredients cooked well. For something with a bit of spice, try the hot honey fried chicken burger; for comfort, the classic American cheese hits the spot. There are also pub favourites to share, from trusty fish and chips to the hand crumbed chicken schnitzel.

Wash them down with a wide variety of ales and wines, many sourced locally and perfect for setting up a time to remember at The Ballarat.
