Perched atop Christchurch's tallest hotel, The One Restaurant & Bar Rooftop offers guests not only incredible food and drink, but also unmatched views over the city’s landscape.

Even the lift ride to the top floor feels like a scenic escape, with breathtaking vistas giving way to a stylish, contemporary space. Inside, dark and moody interiors are lifted by tasteful accents of pink and gold, while plush leather seating ensures maximum comfort throughout your visit.

With sweeping views of the Christchurch cityscape and the Southern Alps in the background, The One is ideal for a photo, or an album cover, moment or two.

Why not indulge in an unforgettable meal while you’re there? Start with a few bites from the 'small plates' selection, such as pork bonbons with truffle aioli and truffle manchego, or a rich and hearty seafood bisque.

For mains, both meat and seafood lovers are spoilt for choice, with a menu that celebrates both sea and land. The Canterbury beef fillet is grass-fed and tender, served with winter vegetables, bordelaise sauce, and truffle mash. From the sea, the butter-poached crayfish tail shines in The One’s salmon caviar beurre blanc.

Make sure to leave room for dessert. The sticky date and rhubarb pudding or the tonka bean crème brûlée offer melt-in-your-mouth indulgence; you may just have to try both.

Whether you’re after a leisurely breakfast to start your day, a rooftop lunch catch-up, or an elaborate dinner beneath Christchurch’s sparkling skyline, The One Restaurant & Bar deserves a spot at the very top of your list.
