The name 'Perch' was inspired by the hotel's exterior mural, 'Rise from the Rubble'. This beautiful mural, which depicts a flourishing Ōtautahi Christchurch, features a kōwhai tree and an inquisitive Tahou Silvereye bird. It also epitomises the establishments location overlooking lively Hereford Street.
