dinner

Himalayas Indian Restaurant brings the vibrant, spice-laced spirit of Himalayan cooking to Christchurch. Known for quick, attentive service and freshly prepared dishes.

Inside the kitchen, comfort and fragrance take the lead: garlic naan arrives steaming, ideal for scooping up butter chicken or the smoky richness of balti goat.

Aromatic rice also takes centre stage, from vegetable pulao to chicken biryani, while paneer fans are well served with tikka masala and rich makhani options.

Bright raita and mint chutney bring a cool lift, while a mango lassi or brisk ginger beer keeps the tempo lively. To finish, think syrup-soaked gulab jamun or a creamy slice of cheesecake.

The dining room’s easy warmth, paired with consistently fresh, flavour-forward plates, makes it a favourite for casual catch-ups and relaxed family meals. Set your sights on spice this week, gather your crew, and let the good times roll like a perfectly puffed naan!
