All of the meat that Bootleg BBQ Co. sells is farmed sustainably and ethically. It is cooked 'low and slow over smoke' in a specialist commercial pit smoker imported from Tennessee.
They go to extraordinary lengths to ensure that their meats go from pasture to plate with absolute care at every stage.
They source their meat from a select group of farms within 100km of Christchurch. They are chosen because they meet every criterion of sustainable farming and recognised animal welfare.
The animals are grass fed. No cages, no pens, only open pasture.
