Cafe Valentino

Cafe Valentino's wood-fired pizzas and Italian plates have been delighting locals and visitors for over three decades and they're showing no signs of stopping.

Whilst they've served New Zealanders and holidaymakers alike, Cafe Valentino is no stranger to a celebrity or two. A multitude of signed show posters from some of the most famous touring artists in the world light up the walls. It's a bustling, lively and family friendly spot where happy diners and epic pizzas light up the evening ahead - no surprise, then, that it's Christchurch's unofficial celebrity haunt.

Their pizzas offer the familiar flavours we all adore, as well as some more original creations that you won't find elsewhere. Get your comfort fix from the Genovese, Porcino or Pepperoni whilst the adventurists can indulge in the Gamberetti - an indulgent mix of prawns, prosciutto and chilli.

If you fancy dinner in a bowl, nothing marks a special occasion like the beef cheek ragu, red wine and garlic (yes really!) pasta or a lush mountain of spaghetti and pork and fennel meatballs, bathed in a fresh herb Napoletana sauce.
