STORY is an intimate 22-seat restaurant on Christchurch’s iconic New Regent Street. Housed in a lovingly restored 1930s building, our refreshed space—navy walls and ceilings, timber staircase and floors, lush greenery and warm, intimate lighting—sets the scene for a memorable evening.

We tell our STORY through food and drink. Best known for our Trust the Chef menu, a seasonal tasting that changes monthly, we celebrate New Zealand’s food and beverage culture by sourcing directly from local farmers, butchers, growers, cheesemakers, fisheries, winemakers, brewers, distillers, and small distributors.

Meat and vegetarian options are always available. Most dietary requirements can be accommodated with 24 hours’ notice—please advise any allergies or intolerances when booking.
