The whole experience was first class. Lovely relaxing area when we arrived. It was my cousin's 73rd birthday from the other side of town. The situation of Vue was perfect for the public transport we used. The meal & service was perfect time to catchup & admire the view. I came last week & decided Vue was by far the first choice for me. Prices are VG too.

My husband and I had the most AMAZING meal at Vue last night. Firstly, we had a lovely table by the window, so we enjoyed a lovely view of the Auckland Harbour/Viaduct. Then we had an incredible waitress, Krish, who was absolutely Fabulous!!!! She really is a Star! And to top it all off.....Our meals were INCREDIBLE!!!!! We each started with the Seared Tuna, and enjoyed the Truffle Fries, while we awaited our Akaroa Salmon "Wellington" to arrive. They let you know that it takes up to 30 minutes to cook, but we were happy to wait, and had a delightful view to take in.....It was soooooo Delicious!!! We were trying to work out a few ingredients, etc. and asked Krish, and she wasn't exactly sure, so she asked the chefs and returned with the answer...Honestly, that meal was so very memorable! We are from Christchurch and were up for a Concert....I can only say, that, we will definitely be returning to you lovely restaurant next time we are in Auckland!!!! Please let Krish, and the Chefs, know that they truly made our night with our fabulous service and meal!!!! Our only complaint??? Sadly, we were too full to try out the dessert menu:) Maybe next time:) Thank You so Very Much!!!!

We had a lovely time. The view was amazing (we had a seat right by the window overlooking the harbour) and the service was lovely. The food was delicious and super fresh. We had the gnocchi which was nice and creamy inside and a slight crunch on the outside. The chicken was succulent and super tasty and the baby gem salad was a perfect side. The truffle and parmesan fries are a must have! Would definitely come back again

As always we had a great time at Vue restaurant; the food is amazing, the menu is so diverse, the staff is attentive, they top up the water for you all the time and of course you get the best view of the viaduct and town from the 13th floor. Thank you team for an amazing evening with you

We took guests here for the views back across the harbour. Our server gave us a great table by the window to make the most of the views. There was a good selection of dishes to suit every palate. The Wakanui sirloin at 300g was very nicely cooked and a good size meakl with the roasted cauliflower side dish. The Osso Bucco lamb was also vey tender and a great size with good texture. Our two Wagyu burgers were like two large monoliths delivered with truffle fries on the side. The emmental chees was just melted enough so it was oozing down the side of the bun but still holding on to complete the picture of what a good burger should look like. Our server was helpful throughout our dinner and kept us hydrated wth water to the table regularly. This is a good place to come early if you want to chat and enjoy great views over the harbour.

We have dined here about 6 years ago and thought we would come again this year for Xmas, obviously the view is absolutely stunning as the restaurant is located on the top of the Grand Mercure Hotel with stunning panoramic front-line harbor views but what really stood out this time was the customer service. Staff were very attentive, service was brilliant, food was just right. Plenty of sauce for the lamb rack and the linguini was amazing. I would definitely highly recommend this Downtown Auckland Restaurant!

We had a wonderful experience at Vue. The place feels fresh, modern and open, the view overlooking the Waitemata Harbour is amazing. The wait staff were really friendly and ready to help at every opportunity. We shared Parmesan fries with truffle oil which were tasty. Salmon Wellington followed, with sides of cauliflower and stuffed potatoes. The salmon was cooked perfectly and the pastry was crispy. The cauliflower was really good and flavoursome. The potatoes were not terribly exciting but I did like the zing of spice in their sauce. Dessert was epic- I have to be careful how much dairy I consume so chose a dairy and gluten free creme brûlée. I was very excited about having one that wouldn’t make me ill (I haven’t had one in over 15 years) - I was not disappointed. The ratio of creme brûlée to the thin layer of caramelised sugar was good because it came in a shallow dish. It was creamy and delicious with a wonderful crunch. Our meal at Vue was a wonderful way to celebrate our 20th wedding anniversary and we were grateful to be able to use First Table which made a big difference to the bill! Thank you

After my second time at Vue, I can decidedly say that this is now my favorite Auckland restaurant!
Last night my mum and I had an early holiday dinner at Vue. It was one of my top meals of the decade for sure. We were seated at the window with a beautiful view of the Auckland Harbour. Our server was so attentive and lovely, she didn't miss a beat.
For dinner I had an iceberg wedge to start, with a lovely lemony buttermilk dressing. Mum had seared tuna, which looked like it came out of Food & Wine magazine. I followed my salad with the Blue Nose fish, which was cooked to perfection, served with carrots and a divine sauce. Mum had the sirloin with roasted cauliflower. There were so many "mmmms" and "ahhhs" from our table that other diners were straining to look at what we were eating. We finished our meal with the coconut lime creme brulee, which is basically like a religious experience, that's how good it is.
Another amazing meal at Vue. I can't wait to go back.

It was amazing food and place and service!!!!! I would say it is the best meal I have tried in NZ for the last year. Tuna was extremely good and it was cooked as you can see it in tv shows. I would definitely recommend this place if you want to try good quality and fantastic food. Portions are not huge, but more then enough to follow the French stile -- You should be a little hangry in the end of diner.

One word - AMAZING! We were blown away by our dining experience at Vue. The food was exquisite - beyond superb. Their cocktail menu is brilliant! Everything was so delicious, reasonably priced and good portion sizes (not too big, not too small). Service was fabulous, thank you to our waiter Isaac who took great care of us. Atmosphere was lovely. It's not often that you can't fault a single thing about a dining experience, but we truly cannot fault Vue. Easily one of the best restaurants in all of Auckland. We can't wait to return.

Stunning panoramic views while dining at the Vue. The service was on point, attentive and professional but not over the top. Both mains were delicious and presented well and the desserts the followed did not disappointed, although the dessert menu was only a choice of 3 desserts, 1 or 2 more choices would be desirable. The Creme Brûlée was the best we’ve had. We would definitely recommend dining here and will book here again!

Phenomenal Dinner. Went before Fleetwood Mac, timing worked out perfectly. Service was exceptional, food was simply DEVINE. My kids said they think it was their best ever dinner. We each had 2 x Lychee Martinis - worth every cent. My 18 year old was heading off to Uni in London the next day, so it was a fantastic farewell dinner.

What a great experience!
Since I called them to confirm our reservation until our last step into their lobby, was all amazing!
The team was always kind and the lady that was taking our order was a must! She's experienced and explained all plates for us, also gave some tips about the quantity - We were in 4 people, sharing plates.
One of the greatest parts, of course, was all the food!
First, "from the sea" part, the oysters from Bay of Islands were a great entree, showing us quality, and we could eat that all night!
Second, "salad & Pasta" we asked for the grilled squid salad, that was a great compliment to the oysters - Great squid, fresh ingredients, fresh flavour.
Third, a great plait of roasted cauliflower and AMAZING truffle and parmesan fries! OMG you must try it! Crunchy fries with a unique flavour - fries are always good!
"From the land" we recommend the gorgeous beef carpaccio and the Osso bucco lamb, that was delicious AND with a mix of flavours - Yes, it's possible! The plait's presentation was also good, but not that super fancy, in my opinion, was right on point.
Now, one of our favourites: Flame grill! Please ask for the Wakanui Angus Sirloin. Really! I'm not kidding. Exceptional meat, medium rare, delicious sauce (miso béarnaise) and, with the oysters, we could eat all of this for the whole day.
The experience was fabulous!
The atmosphere is comfortable, the music wasn't laughed, the service compliment the night. Ah, we tried a bottle of Merlot, equally divine.
Thanks a lot, Chef and all staff!

A lovely environment and very attentive staff. The food was great, I particular enjoyed my Coconut Cream Brulee, as many places don't offer GF and DF desserts. A nice treat for my birthday.

Service was good, attentive but not too much.
Food was awesome, great combo of flavours and good quality ingredients, our waiter spoke to us about when we would want the mains ordered which was good as it meant we were able to have a break after entrees which is my preference. Wide range of wines available. really great place overall.

- dined at Vue Restaurant on

The staff was extremely attentive and welcoming. We ordered the baked sourdough to begin with and the bread was very fresh. The butter that came with the bread was delicious - a very nice combination of sweet and savory. I then ordered the confit chicken leg and my partner ordered the braised lamb shoulder. The confit chicken leg was very tender and the hazelnut sauce complemented it very well. We then finished with the dark chocolate and hazelnut pave. The hazelnut praline and macadamia ice cream that came with it was delicious. Overall, I would recommend this restaurant for both the food and the service.

The restaurant had the most amazing views! Lucky for us, there were fireworks that night and we got to enjoy them from the restaurant! This is a great place for dates and small get togethers. The waiter who served us was great too and took the time to go over the menu with us. Food tasted great - I loved the slow roasted lamb and the chicken dish! Super affordable with first table and will definitely be back! The only downside was that the food took awhile to come out.

Had an excellent birthday dinner at Vue at a fraction of the cost thanks to First Table. Our server, Isaac, was great at explaining the menu, recommending pairings, and was incredibly attentive throughout the meal. The menu is simplistic but ticks all the boxes and catered well to our group's dietary requirements. Top dishes were the clam linguini and braised lamb shoulder. You cannot miss a side of the truffle & parmesan fries and you simply must finish your meal with the coconut creme crème brûlée. Whole evening was topped off by the lovely setting and spectacular view. Highly recommend.

Everything about our dining experience at the Vue was fantastic. We were visiting from Sydney and it was a last minute find.
The service, by every single staff member, was impeccable and our allocated waitress ensured that we were taken such good care of. Her attention to detail was impressive and her kindness were much appreciated. There was no sense at any point during the evening that we were being rushed.
The food was absolutely delicious. Our compliments to the chef.
The view of sunset over the harbour , and the quiet ambience of the restaurant, contributed to making this such an enjoyable and satisfying evening. Take a well deserved bow all staff involved.

The experience at Vue restaurant was thoroughly relaxing and refreshing. My wife and I came here for dinner at the end of a long week. The restaurant is spacious, with the full glass wall enhancing the open feel and providing lovely water views down over the harbour. We both enjoyed a tender scotch steak, and I was thrilled at the reasonably-priced whiskey list. Thanks for a great night Vue!

What a wonderful evening at Vue! The food was incredible! Our wait staff gave some excellent advice around creating a menu to share-every dish was beautifully presented, cooked to perfection and incredibly tasty! I wouldn’t hesitate to order the fish of the day, the lamb shoulder, the savannah steak, the calm linguini and the vegetables again. We managed to squeeze in desserts-the creme brûlée and the lime trifle were two of the best we have ever had!!! Oh have we mentioned the view? Must come back again when it’s dark

When we arrived it was a little chaotic and took a while to be seated. I am glad to say things picked up quickly and the rest of the evening was very pleasant. We had a lovely view from our table and the 3 guests that ordered steak had no complaints whatsoever as they were all cooked as they requested. The lamb rack had lots of flavour but was not as pink as I would have liked it but the flavour made up for it. The beef carpaccio with pickled shiitake was a great entree and we thought our servers were very attentive and friendly. We would definitely come back as the food quality was great and the view also helped us enjoy the evening.

This was our first booking via first table, and also at Vue Restaurant - we decided to give both a go for our wedding anniversary. Booking via first table is super easy and convenient, hassle free! Upon arrival we took the lift up to Vue Restaurant and we were not disappointed. The decor and view is to die for! We had amazing service from the moment we arrived, super fast drinks and food came nice and quickly. The wait staff checked in for drink refills and to see how everything was going without being 'in your face'. We loved the spicy cloudy bay clams entree and had sirloin and lamb rack for mains which came with the choice of one side. I loved the cauliflower side and thought it was delicious. Dessert was a HUGE creme brulee flavoured with coconut and lime and we shared it, absolutely full to the brim after that! The only small critique was the lamb rack needed the fat rendered a little more as the chop end was a little hard to cut through. This was value for money and we're really glad we discovered this place as it is a super stunning location and restaurant. Thanks for the great service.

Thank you
