dinner

Perched right on the sands of Plimmerton Beach, The Jetty serves easygoing coastal charm with a side of sweeping waterfront views. This welcoming restaurant comes alive as the afternoon fades, setting the perfect stage for a relaxed evening in a retro-tinged space that feels inviting from the first hello.

On the plate, the kitchen leans into the coast and classic comfort in equal measure, showcasing crisp seafood, tender richness, and familiar favourites done well. Think salt and pepper squid with tartare, Marlborough mussel croquettes, and the kind of golden crunch that pairs beautifully with an ocean breeze.

Heartier appetites meet their match in a 24-hour slow-cooked Moroccan lamb over couscous with cooling tzatziki and harissa, or a slow-roast brisket served with barbecue sauce and slaw.

For those seeking something handheld, crowd-pleasing burgers step up to the mark, from a beef and cheese staple to a battered fish number with pickles and cos lettuce.

To balance the flavours, a selection of refreshing drinks keeps things lively - ideal for enjoying against the sea-sparkled twilight skies.

The mood is warm and eclectic - while outside, the view does the talking. Dress up or wander in straight from the beach - either way, settle in, share a plate or two, and let the tide set the pace. Drop anchor at The Jetty soon - the shoreline is calling!
