Set in the heart of Rotorua City Centre, Wild Rice Kitchen and Bar brings the vibrant soul of Thai cooking to the city’s dining scene. This is a place where balance is everything: sweetness and saltiness dance with chilli heat, brightness meets depth, and every mouthful keeps taste buds on their toes.

The kitchen celebrates those unmistakable Thai contrasts, layering aromatics and citrus with a confident hand. Expect flavours that are bold yet finely tuned, with gentle sweetness and tang to temper the spice. It is cooking that prizes fresh, quality ingredients and attentive technique, delivering dishes designed to be shared and savoured at an easy pace.

Service is a point of pride here. An experienced, professional team sets the tone with warm hospitality, the sort that turns first-timers into familiar faces. The atmosphere is relaxed and welcoming, suited to lingering suppers, quick city-centre catch-ups and everything in between.

Curious for a flavour journey that is bright, spicy and just a little bit addictive? Pull up a chair at Wild Rice Kitchen and Bar, settle in, and let the spice do the talking. Go on—give your palate a little holiday.
