The Feasting Fox

Tucked into Rotorua’s city centre, The Feasting Fox invites diners to gather, graze and linger. Its playful name sets the tone - a house for convivial moments, good conversation and the kind of meal that feels like an occasion without the fuss.

Set amid the buzz of town, it’s an easy rendezvous for locals and travellers alike, suited to after-work catch-ups, leisurely weekends and everything in between. Whether it’s a quick bite or an unhurried supper, it fits the moment.

In the kitchen, the brief is simple - flavour first and comfort close behind. Pork croquettes filled with mozzarella and served with apple mustard puree set the pace, while classic tacos come with a choice of falafel, fish or chicken. Foxy’s pizzas are made to share, and Kiwi steak cuts are ideal for a special occasion, with grass-fed Angus options such as scotch fillet and porterhouse.

Feasts steal the show - The Fox’s Smoky Rib Feast stars applewood-smoked St Louis pork ribs, served with fries, house pickles and an apple mustard rib sauce that brightens the meal. The Fox’s Coffee and Stout Beef Cheeks is another signature, with Guinness and coffee-roasted Angus beef cheeks balanced by rosemary mash, crispy shallots and beef gravy.

Make a date with The Feasting Fox and settle in for a fine time. Book in, bring your appetite and let curiosity lead you by the tail!
