Located in the relaxing city of Rotorua, Mac's Steak House provides a welcoming atmosphere for those in search of a hearty, meat-focused dining experience. Since opening its doors in 1983, it’s become a favourite spot for both steak lovers and those who appreciate comforting, well-prepared dishes.

As you enter Mac's, the inviting scent of garlic bread blends with the earthy fragrance of dukkah spice. Its interior, with dark wood furnishings and soft lighting, offers an atmosphere that’s both cosy and conducive to enjoying a meal to remember. The artisan bread board, featuring four types of bread along with pesto, hummus, and herb butter, readies you for the culinary delights ahead.

The starters showcase the kitchen’s ability to marry local ingredients with international flavours. You've got to try the yellowfin tuna ceviche, with its lively mix of citrus and soy, and the roasted beetroot with creamy Bel Paese cheese is an exceptional choice for vegetarians. But, it’s the beef and prawn duo that truly embodies Mac’s commitment to quality and taste, a duo that’s bound to impress.

Complementing the food, the drinks menu boasts a range of local wines and beers, each a nod to the region’s rich produce, ensuring that every sip adds to the richness of your meal at Mac's Steak House. Here, every visit is a homage to not only the traditions of steak preparation but also to the pure enjoyment found in a perfectly cooked steak.
