Bringing Italian charm and hospitality to Rotorua, Leonardo’s Food & Wine offers a cosy, frequently updated dining experience that embraces the heritage of family recipes. The atmosphere is warm and friendly, making it the perfect place to share a meal with friends and family and celebrate all of life’s moments.

This restaurant is an Italian’s dream. The staff follow in their grandma’s footsteps with every homemade dish, honouring tradition while embracing innovation.

They serve up all the famous classics, but with a modern and local twist. Each dish is made to order, bringing the Leonardo seal of approval to everything from quick midday bites to long, leisurely three-course dinners. The restaurant also prioritises sustainability and seasonality, ensuring new flavours are continually available.

Dive into maccheroni loaded with prawns, chilli, tomato, garlic and fresh basil for a fiery, flavour-packed start. Standout dishes like the chilli prawn pizza and freshly made pasta earn high praise from patrons. Still got room for something sweet? The answer’s easy—tiramisu takes the cake with its creamy layers and irresistible coffee kick.

Leonardo’s is the perfect spot to unwind over a hearty meal and a glass of wine.
