dinner

In the heart of Rotorua City Centre, just a block up from Eat Streat - Artisan Cafe and Bar wears its ethos on its sleeve: “handmade with love and care.”

Artisan is an evening destination, serving up vibrant flavours - perfectly paired with their hearty big bites. This is artisan comfort food done thoughtfully, grounded in a sustainable approach and a commitment to locally and regionally sourced produce.

Menus shift with the seasons, and specialty brews set an easy rhythm from first sip to last bite. The cooking leans generous and satisfying, with flavours that feel familiar yet finely tuned.

Small bites set the tone: toasted Turkish bread with seasonal house-made dips and brisket bites finished with a punchy artisan dipping sauce. A fresh salad offers a lighter option with drizzled vegetables and crisp greens with ranch dressing.

Heft arrives with big bites served on Turkish bread. Papa Bear layers slow-cooked beef brisket, while Mama Bear pairs grilled chicken with mango chutney and a colourful, flavourful aioli. Sides are more than a supporting act: artisan-dusted fries with dipping sauce or sautéed kumara hash complete the spread.

Book in, take a seat, and let the good times begin - dipping, dunking and savouring every bite at Artisan Cafe and Bar!
