Elegant yet unpretentious, traditional yet cool, SODA is one of those places that treads a fine balance in order to deliver to the people of Queenstown exactly what they want.

Showcasing their modern take on Mediterranean cuisine, SODA is fizzing up the adventure capital's dining scene. Like throwing a scarf over one's shoulder, SODA is effortlessly chic with its understated, softly-lit dining room. Here, couples and groups relish the hum of activity whilst also enjoying their privacy in the cleverly designed space. The décor is elegant yet casual, a comfortable space that has broad appeal and encourages you to settle in.

What plates does this restaurant have up its sleeve? Staying true to the Mediterranean's coastal cuisine, they have a sharing menu with a lovely mix of antipastis to start, followed by a mix of small and larger plates. To start, you can enjoy anything from wagyu beef skewers to Australian banana prawns, grilled octopus, and housemade chorizo together. And you can bet that each and every plate is a work of art.

Larger plates act as the perfect complement to the tasty smaller plates. Here, great cuts like Walter Peak lamb and Savannah ribeye play a central role for meat lovers whilst the seafood paella proves irresistible for those looking for fresh fruits of the sea. The vegetable paella also comes out a winner replacing seafood with oyster mushrooms, artichoke and celeriac. As SODA proves time and again, the Mediterranean has a sleek and polished underbelly.
