An institution among locals, Fat Badgers is THE spot to enjoy 20’’ New York-style pizzas in Queenstown. Cue the gooey cheesy goodness...

It's a funky, laid back spot that perfectly merges the American diner with the Italian bistro. Surround yourself with artsy memorabilia and sidle over to the hip-hop-happening bar whilst the pizza oven does its magic. And when your food does arrive (rightfully seated on a pizza stand) don't be surprised to receive some envious stares.

Speaking of which, what do you fancy? With meat feasts, classics, Badger signatures and heaps of vegan offerings, there's a cheesy (or not-so-cheesy) circle for everyone. Their originals comprise of various hearty toppings, from Mexican ground beef to beef, Italian sausage, roast chicken and kumara. For a European twist, you can't go wrong with Get Badger To The Greek or The Arnold Schwarzebadger which will get you buffer than its namesake in no time!

Another thing they do brilliantly well is poutine - loaded fries if you weren't sure. Elevate your potatoey snack with Thai, cheeseburger, Mexican and curry inspired toppings. And if you're still not full, some oven-baked magic mushrooms never go amiss. Once you've tasted these zesty, cheesy, Mediterranean nibbles, you'll be high on life!
