Went for lunch. We ordered a starter to share between the 2 of us, as we expected the lunch meals to be smaller. When the starter came out it was massive. We got the Judge Roy bean dip, which was great but was even better with extra sour cream.
Mum ordered the El Greengo burger for main, and when it came out it was also massive, she loved the burger but didn't make it through the chips.
I ordered the prawn star, the prawn were cooked and seasoned perfectly, the salad was delicious and very generous. We had a great time and enjoy the food but if we went back for lunch would be ordering light meals or no starters :) no doggie bags allowed.
Didn't have room for dessert but we both left very satisfied.

Best meal we have had at a lone star in years, well worth the drive into town. Fabulous gastronomic treats, reasonable wait times not to mention the wonderful serving team. Whole heartedly recommend lone star Manchester

Huge portions of great food, attentive & friendly service and a fantastic atmosphere. We had a fabulous lunch and were really impressed with the speed of service. Highly recommend popping for lunch - the lunch menu includes most of the highlights from the dinner menu so the food is still awesome, but it's much less busy at lunchtime so you almost have the whole place to yourself :)

First time ever visit to Lone Star.Being first diners at 5pm the place was quiet but several other diners arrived over the next half hour. Food was really good but too much for either of us to finish. It certainly lives up to its reputation. Staff were all lovely and helpful without being intrusive.

The steak was excellent and the chicken breast tasted soft and well-done with sauce and vegetables. It was a pleasant day because my family ate satisfactorily and the staff was kind. I'll be back at some other time.

First time at Lone Star for lunch and it was fantastic. Had enquired about opening hours earlier in the day and the lovely lady who greeted us remembered my name! The attentiveness of both staff serving that day was extraordinary. The service for both drinks and food was excellent! My partner commented that it was the best steak he's had in a very long time, and even though there was minimal items on the plate, there was enough of everything to eat altogether right til the end. My salmon was beautifully cooked and the little salad and dressing complimented the fish without overpowering. The end result, two very full people left the restaurant with a rave review as we were totally impressed with everything! Would highly recommend and will definitely be returning!!

With birthday glee plentiful, I was joined by my daughter and a friend at The Lone Star Manchester St. My offspring & I ambitiously attempted to conquer the Redneck Ribs (Tower) and my friend (riding shotgun) the Lassoo of Hog. We yammed down those meaty morsels covered in delcious sauces, chunky chips and freshious salad, but both the Rib Tower & the 450gm roll of Loin Pork proved victorious. It would take a Bronc buster with a mighty appetite to whoof down the lot, but it was a hoot trying! If you like a hearty, finger-licking plate of meat, then these are your dishes. The fine ladies serving, paid every heed & we left full as bulls!

Exceptional dining experience with excellent service. The Paris Texas rib eye steak was simply divine with the onion jam & herb butter. Redneck ribs were delicious and portion sizes for both meals were huge. Will definitely be going back very soon!

Amazing food and service, you cant go wrong dining here. It was my first time dining at Lonestar Manchester and I've already been back since, on both occasions the food was delicious and the staff helpful and welcoming. If you haven't been here before, definitely give it a go!

Decided to book a First Table for my birthday lunch. On a midday Friday we had the bar area all to ourselves. My original choice of main was a steak sandwich that had GFO next to it on the menu, but I was told that to make it gluten-free they removed the bread and added additional chips and salad. I felt that would be disappointing so I instead chose the Paris Texas. This was 300g of tender steak (cooked rare for me) covered in onion jam and drowning in a delicious herb butter surrounded by super fluffy buffalo wedges. I added a side of mushrooms, and my drink was a Bounty Hunter (a cocktail made with Malibu, Baileys, Creme de Cacao, and chocolate syrup). Our wonderful waitress Sam gave us excellent service and when she found out it was my birthday she put a candle on top of my pavlova dessert!

My friend had the Prawn Star, and we both came away very full and happy with our meals and the pleasant ambience. The First Table discount meant I was able to pick off the menu without price checking everything and that was a great treat for my birthday. So glad that Lone Star has come on board, and I'm planning to be back again soon with friends. Thanks!

Definitely want to make sure you read the right sample menus, as your usual dinner faves aren’t on the lunch menu. (Other than (not my) fave 5)).
Service pretty good, didn’t get the steak right but was alright and happily cooked it longer. The steak meal is verging on too minimal but I guess that’s what people want?
Place is clean and nice enough, but personally think that compared to what seems a standard in Chch it’s overpriced and overrated

Food was beautifully cooked, however i personally didn’t enjoy the cream sauce for the chicken over my coleslaw and buffalo fries. This might have been better on the side. Hubby had the special sausages and mash which he really enjoyed. We would certainly go back.

Even had a special dessert made as couldn't eat what was on the menu, due to the generous offerings for entree and mains. Highly recommend this place ... will be back I'm sure.

We have been dining at our old favourite restaurant for 25 years now and we are never disappointed in the food. My maverick steak was so delicious and with the potato gratin and steamed veggies a step above the usual. I loved this dish. My husband loved hisblackfoot fish and being first table diners meant we could indulge ourseves.

Was a lovely welcome back, after they came back to the city. Staff were very friendly, welcoming and attentive. Our waitress was charming, if she didn't know anything, she certainly made a point of finding out. Hubby had a non-alchoholic cocktail as it was hot day delicious. The place was cool, we were ina booth and you felt you were the only ones there, lovely and private, even though there were others therre. The cashew nuts had been forgotten on my salad, 1 mention and their was a saucer full beside me, in an instant. The ribs had not changed and you drooled on them, our meals were substantial and filling, we could not fit dessert in and our tummies were rolling out, as we left. Definetly recommend and the jellybeans on the bill were a fight over 10/10.

I have been there a couple times, Always enjoy it apart from this time. According to first table policy, we can order one starter, one main and one dessert each. Four of us ordered 3 starters and 4 mains. together. Mum and I didn't finish our ribs so we would like to take them home. However we were told we can't do it because we booked it from first table, even we were willing to pay for the takeaway box. We didn't over order the food or try to take any advantage from it, I see no reason we should waste all the remainings.Luckily we were offered a small container for our starter at the beginging so we managed to fit the ribs in it and left all the chips behind.
