lunch

Located close to Avon Riverside, sits a restaurant renowned for unearthing some of the most authentic dishes that can be found in India, Two Fat Indians. Two Fat Indians has been going strong in Christchurch for nearly 25 years and now, they're going one step further with the city's first ever Indian-inspired high tea.

Reminiscent of glamorous New York diners, Two Fat Indians is a glorious mix of glossy horseshoe booths, elegant bistro tables and contemporary lighting.

It's precisely their eye for theatre that makes their high tea so special. A feast for the eyes and the stomach, elegant plate stands are decorated with beautiful small bites, savoury nibbles, treats fresh from the bakery and plenty of sweets and desserts to satiate your sweet tooth. The High Tea experience now comes in delightful vegan and vegetarian options, with the chance to add a touch of bubbly for that extra sparkle. Served with your choice of tea, these homemade delicacies make for the perfect mid-afternoon indulgence.
