Casa Publica pays homage to Mr. Hugo A Chile, who thrived during the prohibition era. Born in 1905, he took over his family’s distillery at 15, mastering rum production and establishing a lucrative distribution network in LA. Today, stepping into Casa Publica is stepping into Hugo’s world of rule-bending, rum, and a quirky passion for women’s shoes.
With an impressive collection of over 160 rum varieties and a menu that boasts a selection of stunning South American flavours, Casa Publica really is your slice of South America right here in Christchurch.
It's made from the original winch and vehicles used to convey goods in the 1860s, ÂżPuertas ImportaciĂłn, St Lukes, Carne Causal?, La Bamba
Casa Publica is your slice of South America right here in Sydney. With a collection of more than 200 rums, Cuba libre's, exciting cocktails and rum-flavoured desserts Casa has everything you need for a fiesta. Their food specialises in tapas-styled dishes and they have a selection of tasty birds such as the Tequila Hot chicken and the much-loved Mojo marinated chicken. Open for lunch and dinner Tuesday - Sunday this place is worth a visit in all senses of the word. Enjoy!
There's no party like a Latin American party, and Nashville has just gained one that takes the well-known flavours of the region to a whole new level. Casa Publica gave the concept of good times a real Latin American-style welcome to Broadway. Split over 2 floors (including a brand spanking new rooftop) this is one of the most fun and versatile spaces to enjoy a signature margarita and some incredible food. Their call drinks list is especially impressive with enough rum to sail a pirate ship included; there are over 150 varieties to choose from. Stick to the theme with pechuga de pollo (the chicken of all chickens) cooked over an open flame with spiced chipotle adobo, this is southern soul food at its best. Everything they do comes with that extra burst of flavour designed to transport you straight to Latino America. We are talking about pit-smoked Carolina Pork Tacos, Tamales made using masa harvested in Mexico and Smoked Beef Brisket Nachos made daily on-site. Be warned though this place is just as famous for its dancing as it is for the food, especially their Friday Night Rumba (great name, great times) after 10 pm. Seven nights of food and fun, give it a try!
