Cuisine: New Zealand
Price Point: Mains from $15 - $35

Overlooking the glittering viaduct, The Lula Inn serves the best of local NZ food and unforgettable G&Ts.

Join Auckland's most fashionable crowd in this tropical paradise in the middle of the city. Potted palms brush the ceilings while the light décor gives the place definite beachy vibes; chilled by day, glitzy by night.

Begin with some starters that skillfully combine cuisines and leave you wanting more! The jalapeno and gruyere doughnut certainly sound intriguing, as does the onion and goat's cheese calzone. Alternatively, keep it Asian with a bao bun, a duck spring roll or bok choy dumplings.

For mains, indulge in some true home comforts. Juicy cheeseburgers, moreish mussels and fiery green curries are just a few examples. If you're on a health kick, try their grain salad or pearl barley risotto and if it's a cheat day, who better to celebrate with than a pizza?!

Polish it all off with an expertly mixed G&T from their 40 strong gin bar from NZ and beyond, or a bottle of fizz if it's a bubbly kind of day (which is every day in case you're wondering).

Awesome experience, lovely service and delicious food!! Will definitely be back

Had a great time at The Lula Inn. The food was delicious, as were the cocktails. Excellent service and a great atmosphere made for the perfect ladies lunch.

Had the Chilli and Clam Linguine (which was divine, highly recommended) paired with the Lady Lula cocktail as well as the Bao Bun paired with the Lady Libertine cocktail (their most popular cocktail). The cocktails were just right. The general ambiance was relaxing and green, perfect for the summer, especially since we were seated outside. The service could have been a bit better if the staff were a bit more attentive to us, especially given there were hardly any customers but it wasn't too big of a problem. Definitely will be back and so glad it's on First Table since it's generally a fine dining restaurant!

Went here for an early dinner. The service was prompt and we were explained the rules for firsttable.

We ordered the salt and pepper squid and pork wontons. Both were great.

We ordered the clam linguine and fish and chips for mains.
They accidentally gave us the pork rigatoni.

When I asked them about this, they checked and apologised and offered to cook it for me. I said it was fine and had the rigatoni which was tasty.

They didn't charge me for the rigatoni on account of their error which I think was great service

Delicious food and generous plates to satisfy our appetite as we had opted to walk from Westhaven. We both had the Grilled Sirloin Steak with Bernaise and had a side of Greens to share. We loved watching the boats from our window seat on the veranda and the heating and gas fire kept us cosy and warm. Attentive wait staff. A lovely place to celebrate our 37th wedding anniversary.

The Lula Inn is a great location and if you can get a table near the water ass we did it is definately worth it . We opted for 5 small plates which came out as they were ready. Our favourite dish was the jalapeno doughnuts with just the right amount of heat to them. The service was great throughout and very halpful. I would recommend 4 small plates for 2 people unless you are really hungry.

Absolutely outstanding food - Massive portion sizes and great-tasting. Our waitress recommended the schnitzel which was fantastic, the 4-cheese calzone was my wife's favorite with mine being the chilli pork pizza.

Cocktails we ordered were both very flavorsome as well.

Very happy would absolutely recommend

Monday night and we had to get up and ask for a drink bad start . Entrees tasteless both the ceviche which was more sashimi and the mozerella in pizza bread . The lamb rib which should have been well cooked a falling off the bone was more like a medium rare steak and so chewy my partner couldn’t eat it
Worst dining experience I can remember

Lovely lunch. Unfortunately my first choice of starter wasn’t available but my second choice was very nice nonetheless. Definitely return to Lula Inn on further visits to Auckland.

THANK GOODNESS we booked in with First table because there is no way I would have paid full price. Don’t get me wrong the atmosphere was great the place looks and feels amazing, staff are awesome. But the FOOD far out, the food was beyond disgusting. We ordered a few little plates and I was so excited because the reviews on this place were amazing. But my husband I left feeling yuck and a table full of food. We ordered the dumplings, wontons, roti & butter chicken sauce, chicken skewers, sweet and sour pork and fish n chips. I know exactly which packet from countdown the dumplings are from and charging $12.50 for 4 heated up from a packet of 10 or 12 for $5 dumplings is so disappointing. If you would like some tips on cooking and flavours please I would love to come in and give some. I make all these meals at home from scratch. With real ingredients.
Probably won’t be back for the food, a drink maybe. But yeah, defiantly not for the food.

Decided to have a bite to eat at Lula before we went to the NZ. Film Festival. Booked for 6pm and arrived on time, were seated quite quickly and drinks ordered (2 ginger beers, a lemonade and one cocktail).615pm no drinks appeared but our food orders were taken. 630pm, drinks finally appeared but no cocktail. At 6.50pm (almost 1 hour later) the cocktail finally appeared - but it was the wrong one, didn't want to have to wait another 50 minutes so just accepted it. 6.55pm, food finally started to arrive and this is where it was just such a let down. Everything was cold, or luke warm, except for the plates which you couldn't touch as they were lava hot. Gyoza was so cold we sent it back. The burgers had been under the heat lamp for so long that the bun was rock hard and dried out. The mussels were OK, but again luke warm and bland. The winter greens, can't even deal - a couple of beans, 3 pieces of broccoli and really REALLY oily sauteed onions - whaaat?? Just a really average and really disappointing first time at Lula.

All the food was very good. Especially liked the dumplings and gyozas. Very tasty. Being a first table booking, value for money was very good. The service was good. One waitress was very friendly and made us feel welcome, our main waitress was pleasant and did an effective job.

The vibe is great and it looks like a great place to hang out listen to some live music. However their food was just not quite there. My mussels had no flavour the steak was cut unevenly so not cooked evenly. Seasoning lacked. Overall very average.

Great food! got a waterfront table. There was a slight mix up with one of the pizzas so that was taken off the bill - excellent service.

Food was great and came out reasonably quick! The staff there a lovely and frequently checked up on how our meals were going. Only thing was that they forgot about the drinks we ordered. It was nice to have a menu with a range of options to cater for everyone! The ambiance of the room was beautiful, was placed inside but still being able to see the harbour without a breeze.

We ordered 4 dishes, popcorn broccoli (recommend),karaage chicken, pork and chive gyozas & Mussels. There was a bit of a wait and when we got the food it was pretty cold . Dishes were smal for the value.
