On Auckland’s North Shore, Chaahat Rothesay Bay pairs warm, heartfelt hospitality with a touch of the royal, creating an inviting setting for everything from everyday meals to special celebrations. It is the kind of place that welcomes diners to share, sample and linger, drawing on the breadth of Indian cooking and the simple pleasure of passing plates around the table.

In the kitchen, traditional herbs and spices are the compass, guiding flavours from crisp onion bhaji and vegetable samosa to tandoor-fired favourites like chicken tikka and paneer tikka. There is comfort in the classics too: slow-simmered curries such as butter chicken, chicken tikka masala, vegetable korma, dal makhni and channa masala bring warmth, depth and gentle richness.

A playful streak runs through the menu, with Indo-Chinese crowd-pleasers like chilli paneer, vegetable Manchurian, chicken chilli and chicken Manchurian, alongside stir-fried noodles and even creamy pasta for a surprise twist. The result is a table that balances smoke, spice and tang with something for every appetite, from a quiet date night to a lively group feast.

For gracious service and generous flavours whenever hunger strikes, Chaahat stands ready. Gather your favourites, order a spread and share the joy, after all, good company and great spice make the best kind of chaahat.
