An icon on Cuba Street, Samick Café is your go-to for all-day dining in the heart of Wellington’s most vibrant strip. Run by brothers Sam and Micky where the venue gets its name, whether you’re starting the day with a perfect flat white or winding down with a glass of wine in the evening, their warm, welcoming atmosphere makes it the ideal spot to gather with friends, family, or colleagues. Open from morning ‘til late, they’ve mastered the art of making everyone feel at home, no matter the hour.

On the menu, you’ll find Kiwi classics done right. Think hearty sirloin steak cooked to perfection just the way you like it, or a classic chicken burger with a side of fries. Vegetarians and lighter eaters are just as spoiled with options like the fresh and vibrant halloumi salad, balancing indulgence with wholesome flavour. Whatever your craving, their hearty plates promise comfort in every bite.

But the experience doesn’t stop there. Alongside their stellar Wellington-quality coffee and fully licensed evening bar, Samick Café also boasts its own Gelato bar—perfect for rounding off your meal with something sweet. With a scoop (or two) of velvety gelato in hand, you’ll quickly see why Samick Café has been a beloved fixture on Cuba Street for years. Here, it’s not just about dining—it’s about enjoying the best of Wellington, all under one roof.
