Khandalla by name, Khandalla by nature, this eatery is the beating pulse behind this Wellington suburb and they're proud of it. They've successfully designed a communal place where everyone can feel at home, going for a rustic, working-club vibe with high tables, sports screens, easy-going dining and a cute little patio out back.

Well, they might be proudly Wellingtonian but that hasn't stopped them from curating a whopping international menu that sees Korean pork belly bites, chicken tenders and Szechuan pepper squid for starters. Then it's on to 18-hour slow-cooked pork belly (if you haven't had enough for starters), the chef's daily curry and monster nachos - so-called because of the sheer number of toppings!

As well as that, they've also got a great trio of burgers for meat eaters and vegetarians and healthier options like the KTC bowl that is nutritious and light. Few, however, will be able to resist a cinnamon sugar doughnut or coconut panna cotta for dessert, even if it's only 'to share'.
