Ceylon Cafe and Eatery Te Aro greets Wellington with the scent of freshly ground espresso and aromatic spices. Inside, a lively hum and warm service set the pace - it is the sort of place that wraps you in familiarity while keeping things interesting.

From morning until afternoon, the kitchen revels in the comforts of an all-day breakfast. Think eggs Benedict, mushroom medleys and crispy waffles, or a hearty potato rosti served with bacon and poached eggs. Lighter cravings find their match in fried halloumi or avocado on toast, best paired with a latte, cappuccino or iced latte, while a mango lassi nods to sunnier shores.

That nod becomes a flourish with Sri Lankan favourites. Idiyappa Kottu arrives as a comforting mix with your choice of veg, egg or chicken in a rich gravy, while chilli Parotta brings a livelier kick. Kottu Roti and Dosa round out the savoury rhythms, giving brunch a spirited island cadence.

Comforting, flavoursome and consistently welcoming - Ceylon has become Te Aro’s dependable daytime haunt. Drop by, claim a cosy corner, and let the day toast itself - one delicious bite at a time!
