A Wellington icon since 1883, The Bridge Bar & Restaurant at the Cambridge Hotel is part of the capital's fabric and is where you'll experience true Wellingtonian hospitality. And that's not limited to sheltering you from the wind!

A few minutes stroll away from Te Papa, the Waterfront and Courtenay Place; The Cambridge Hotel has seen the centre evolve into the bustling metropolis it is today. Inside, we are sticking to our roots, The Bridge Bar with all the familiar trappings of a traditional pub. Keeping it nice and casual, you can enjoy supper perched on a bar stool with a front-row seat to the sports screens, get the gang into a booth for a well-deserved yarn or enjoy a meal with your family. Wellingtonian through and through, you simply can't come to the capital without checking out this institution.

Out with pretentiousness and in with comforting grub that always puts a smile on your face, The Bridge Bar & Restaurant menu is a winner all around. Here, burgers take centre stage (and rightly so) with the classic beef patty with cheese and salad, fried chicken or possibly the best steak sandwich in Wellington. Let's just say these aren't any old burgers or sandwiches. Alternatively, you could always tuck into a cheesy chicken parma or premium sirloin steak, nachos are pretty good too.

As for drinks, it's NZ all the way. With household names like Export, Lion Brown and even quart bottles of Tui, Summit Ultra & Waikato Draught. Then Heineken, Emersons, Garage Project, Tuatara, Guinness and Panhead are also available. Wines from Church Road, Oyster Bay, Nautilus & Palliser Estate, experience NZ by the glassful. After all, that's what The Bridge Bar & Restaurant at The Cambridge Hotel does best.
