Delicious, and attractively presented food. An intimate and comparatively quiet venue, where we could enjoy conversation. The service was attentive without being intrusive.

Tasty food and a good range of choices on the menu. Service was efficient, friendly and helpful. Our 5.30 reservation meant we were at the right time to enjoy Sean's relaxing cocktail piano music as we dined.

We had the entrees from the small plates menu and they were very delicious. We all loved the groper fish with the lentil and rice in tasty broth and curly zucchini . The main was a generous size. We were very full but couldn't resist the dessert menu. They were yummy - lemon cheese cake and pear and chocolate crumble! The service was excellent. Lovely setting with the piano music !

Really good food, service could be better. We weren’t told about specials and were asked after about 2 minutes if we were ready to order food before even taking drinks order. But food was very tasty

Food was tasty and filling! It was quiet when we arrived and the restaurant is beside the busy walkway for pedestrians moving in and out of the elevator to Lambton Quay as well as the hotel guests. Quite a bit of hustle and bustle but still a lovely restaurant with good food!

Food was really good, however we thought a la carte (small portions) and ordered fries with our mains after eating gnocchi for our entree.
That was a mistake as the potions were huge and really struggled to eat most of the main. That being said, we would definitely eat here again.

Food was absolutely delicious. We had Bread and oils with dips to start and then chose the Salmon and Pork belly for mains which we both thoroughly enjoyed. We were greeted promptly by the waiter and taken to a table for two given the specials menu straight away and attended to at well timed moments throughout our time there. The wine was delicious. My partner even went on to have dessert whilst I opted for the Moscato .. Dessert Wine. Perfect date night & easy walking distance to the City centre (Although we opted for an Uber arrival) The plimmer steps are so closeby we enjoyed the stroll back to the city that way. Definitely recommend - Laura Liverpool UK

Meals were good, superb main and dessert (Pork Roulade and Lemon Ricotta fritters) entree was average, service was okay, great deal for for the price.

When we got there they hadn't received our booking so this caused service delays and was quite annoying. Otherwise, the food was nice and served in a timely manner.

A good selection on offer and friendly staff. The meals were delicious. The open-ish venue is slightly odd, but probably one of the best options on first table.

Great night, service was fast and well attended too even though there were lots of patrons in for the bar (Rugby Finals). Food was yummy and well priced. Great wee place :)

Excellent food and service. The young lady that looked after us was very good under the circumstances as she was looking after the bar, which was extremely busy, and waiting on tables. Think she may have been a trainee?

We started with the selection of different breads & dips. They were just as described and very nice. Between us we had the beef, lamb & pork belly. All were well presented, tasty and generous portions which we all enjoyed. The pork belly was served with a very fresh tasting Asian slaw. Combination worked really well. We were impressed with the prompt service and friendly knowledgeable staff. Our waiter James was excellent & made sure we were out in plenty of time to get to the stadium.

Lovely meal and great service. Quite a public venue but great for people watching. Easy parking on the street. Salmon was mouth-watering. Thanks First Table!

The creamy vegetable soup was superb but too big as a starter for me. The salmon was perfectly cooked but i would have liked some greens with it. the steak and the pork belly was cooked beautifully with plenty of vegetables. ..the tiramisu was beautifully presented and tasted as good as it looked. the service was also excellent.

Food at this restaurant is beautiful, we had the pork belly and the lamb - both came with delicious vegetables and sides. The black eyed peas with the lamb were gorgeous, had to stop myself from licking the plate!

Service was good too, food came out at a reasonable pace despite the bar section of the restaurant being very busy. Staff are friendly and attentive.

Will definitely go back. Nice to see this restaurant open again after their renovation.
