For the best steak in Wellington, try this award-winning grillhouse...

Serving exquisite steak and fine wines since 2012, Portlander is a thriving culinary hub in the city centre.

This unique grillhouse specialises in superb cuts of meat, prepared to perfection and finished in style. The seasonal menu champions the finest New Zealand produce, and offers locally hunted wild meats and line-caught fish.

For a showstopping dish try the pure south & Taupo beef or Palliser bay station lamb, or the Manuka honey glazed pork belly. They also offer a range of artisan bites, like the Drunken Nanny cheeses and Arobake breads, as well as to-die-for desserts (three words: dark chocolate tart).

Portlander boasts one of Wellington’s most extensive whisky selections, and a custom wine cellar. Cheers to that!

And that’s not all. Portlander has Wellington's premier culinary social club - The Prime Club. As a member, you’ll receive invitations to their expert in-house Masterclasses, earn $1 Portlander credit for every $8 spent, and have the opportunity to win exclusive tickets to Wellington’s top-notch sporting, fashion, culture and culinary events.
