Brace yourself, Wellington foodies – Ernesto's is ready to bring out the 'inner Ernesto' in you with its fusion between classic American Soul Food and Cuban Cuisine. This culinary gem nestled in the heart of the city personifies 'Havana good time', a-buzz with character and delivering food with homage and respect. Their dishes have been revisited by a super-talented kitchen team - led by award-winning chef Kit Foe.

Walk into Ernesto's and you will be instantly transported. With vibrant colours, rustic wooden furniture, and lively music create a welcoming and friendly atmosphere that feels like a fiesta waiting to happen. Ernesto’s is the perfect breakfast/lunch spot; the after-work drinks go to and a stylish rendezvous for dinner and hang out with the "in" crowd.

When it comes to the food, Ernesto's is a culinary samba that dances delightfully on your palate. For breakfast, try the crispy bean wrap, with spicy butterbean and cumin, or Spanish omelettes with leek and potato and your choice of bacon, salmon or veggies. For lunch and dinner see an exotic parade of Cuban classics with a twist of American soul. Every dish is as mouth-watering as it sounds, from their signature Cubano sandwich to their classic beef burger or their Arancini - a dish made of crispy risotto balls on baby rocket.

At Ernesto's, the drinks are as lively as the food. Their cocktail menu boasts rum-based favourites like the pineapple daiquiri and the spicy margarita. Ernesto's is reliable, yet sassy, missed with old school flare right in the heart of Wellington. Promising a gastronomic adventure that's filled with soul, flavour, and plenty of fun.
