dinner

Your answer to modern Asian cuisine in central Wanaka, WanaFusion is a culinary delight that mixes and matches the best street food from Vietnam, Thailand, Hong Kong, and beyond. Whilst this eatery may boast some of the best balcony views of the surrounding Wanaka, the interior is worlds away from fair Aotearoa.

Taking inspiration from eating houses around Asia, WanaFusion is an elegant hideaway that creates cosy corners with bamboo partitions, delivers energy with the exposed kitchen, and showcases plenty of contemporary lighting that gives WanaFusion a soft and seductive glow in the evenings. If the weather is playing ball, however, dinner simply must be enjoyed from the balcony, where there are views for days.

The menu is centred around sharing. Take a whistle-stop tour around Asia with Bangkok-style seafood, 24-hour spare ribs, Saigon beef pho, and the signature duck breast with a delectable plum sauce. And that is the tip of the iceberg. The illustrious continent keeps on giving with fluffy bao buns, moreish chicken skewers and pan-fried dumplings with a range of fillings.

Seeing as you've made it all this way, you might as well indulge in a Gwai Fa Jeun or Wana-Fantasy cocktail. With heaps of exotic flavours inside, the only question left to ask is 'When do you Wana go?'
