Hello Ranger

A cafe, bistro and bar all rolled into one, Hello Ranger is open to rangers and roamers for midday bites and evening feasts.

Occupying a quiet corner in Wanaka, Hello Ranger takes you away from the tourist crowds by the lakeside and treats you to a peaceful interlude on the outskirts of town. Inside it's streamlined and minimalist, offering plenty of space to stretch out and soak in the sunlight that streams in through their enormous windows. Light, airy and a welcome break from the complexities and clutter of everyday life, allow Hello Ranger to soothe and console with a refreshing atmosphere and food for the soul.

For those joining Hello Ranger for lunch, you will be happy to hear that brunch is served until 3pm! Which is great news indeed considering that the menu features eggs benny, the full Ranger Breakfast and smashed avo with plenty of sides. Aside from that, they also have lunchy bits that include a sumptuous beef burger and kimchi fried rice with marinated tofu. Just don't forget to add a freshly ground coffee at the end!

As for supper, you might want to indulge in a Marlborough Sauvignon Blanc or Waipara Chardonnay before polishing off a plate of Korean fried chicken or calamari between you. If you've caught the feel for fried chicken, opt for a fried chicken burger for mains! If you'd prefer some variety, some tempura fish tacos or a magnificent Angus ribeye should do the trick. They're also not afraid to try their hand at pizzas either! Seriously, is there any place this ranger hasn't been?
