Nestled on the shores of Lake Wānaka, The Edgewater Restaurant boasts breathtaking views of the crystal-clear waters and snow-capped peaks of the Southern Alps.

Inside, you’ll find a contemporary dining space, with an outdoor deck providing diners with a front-row seat to the beautiful surroundings.

Fresh local ingredients take centre stage on the menu, showcasing the best of Central Otago’s seasonal produce. Sustainability is key here, with everything from ethically sourced meats to foraged herbs making their way onto your plate. The talented kitchen team have a passion for transforming lesser-known cuts into truly unforgettable dishes.

Start your meal with crispy onion petals, served with sour cream and chive oil, before trying a local favourite, Dunford Grove olives. The mains menu features dishes like gnocchi genovese, with house-made gnocchi that melts in the mouth, brown butter, deep green basil and an indulgent parmesan cheese sauce, a must-try for vegetarians, and for the meat eaters, you might be tempted by the mouth-watering dry-aged alliance ribeye with shoestring fries and a peppercorn sauce.

Make sure to save room for dessert, the heavenly poached pear brownie is the perfect summer treat. Or why not try the indulgent Baileys bread and butter pudding.

Whatever the occasion, Edgewater Restaurant is a stunning Wānaka dining destination worth exploring.
