Hook Wānaka is a unique restaurant, bar, and salmon fishery located on the outskirts of Wānaka, nestled in the stunning landscape of the Southern Alps.

The restaurant serves a seasonally changing menu, executed to perfection. Whether you're a salmon lover or have other tastes, there’s something for everyone. Don’t miss the famous wood-fired pizzas, ranging from a classic margherita to the crowd favourite, the diavola, topped with pepperoni and chili oil. All the pizzas are made with fresh herbs and top-quality ingredients, and they pair perfectly with a selection of local beers and wines. The menu also features delicious dishes like Wagyu steak, crispy pork hock croquettes, house-made fried chicken, and fresh salads. Be sure to check out the full menu for more mouth-watering options.

There’s also a catch… Hook offers a one-of-a-kind, lake-to-plate fishing experience. Guests can reel their Chinook salmon from the pristine, spring-fed ponds. Once caught, the team can prepare your fish sashimi-style or hot-smoked. (First Table discount does not apply to this experience.)

If you're looking to unwind in nature with incredible views, great food, and refreshing drinks, Hook Wānaka is the perfect spot.
