Churchills

A treasured watering hole in the Waikato, Churchills is a homey joint with plenty of homemade nosh for you and your loved ones throughout the day.

Churchills is a typical Kiwi café, meaning that it's comfy, the deli is full, and the staff are always happy to see you.

The café itself is reminiscent of home with crockery cupboards, desks, heavy curtains and pretty much all the furniture you expect to see at someone's abode. There're always chums having a yarn at the long bar, and if it's a nice day, you'll find them outside in the courtyard!

If you're joining them in the middle of the day, you can make it brunchy or classically lunchy. All their brekkie items are available into the afternoon, so you can gorge on the farm house breakfast, eggs benedict, French toast or a customised avo stack with all the trimmings well into the day.

Moving on to their all-day menu where it's burgers and pizzas galore. From juicy beef patties to grilled chicken, loaded meat pizzas and the Churchill special with smoked salmon, capers and cream cheese, they certainly know their way around our favourite comfort food! Even the mains serve up our guilty pleasures with fish & chips, sirloin steak and Mexican tacos on the menu. Masters in cheery, unpretentious food, it's no wonder Churchill's is Te Awamutu's pride and glory.
