Nestled just off the main street in Hamilton’s CBD, Pappadomz brings the fragrant spices and wholesome fare of South India to the heart of the Tron.

This family-run restaurant has been serving delectable Indian fare to locals since 2017, all in the comfort of a warm, cosy space. Drawing on the diversity of South Indian cuisine, Pappadomz drenches the city in a maelstrom of colour and spice.

Like the mighty Brahman bull that graces the exterior of Pappadomz, South Indian cuisine is bold and expressive, demanding to be experienced with friends and loved ones. That’s why Pappadomz provides ample seating for you and your friends.

Whether you’re craving dahi vadas, butter chicken or a heaped plate of steaming biryani, this authentic eatery has you covered. We recommend starting with the pakoda, where aubergine and potatoes are spiced and deep-fried in a chickpea batter.

If you’re new to Indian food, then don’t fear, Pappadomz helps you navigate this colourful continent with a guide to popular curries for you to sink your teeth into. The Kerala paneer curry features paneer in a rich tomato curry with caramelised onions. For something comforting, try the tender beef cooked in roasted coconut paste and garam masala, a traditional recipe from Kerala.

With both North and South Indian cuisine proudly represented, Pappadomz is the Indian pantry you’ve been looking for.
