Now open in Oakura, Curry Caffe brings a tasty refuge to New Plymouth’s dining scene.

It marries the ease of a neighbourhood café with the heady pull of an Indian kitchen, while welcoming those who prefer to settle in from lunch through dinner. The mood is relaxed by day and convivial by night, with something to suit every appetite and occasion.

The menu tours familiar comforts and spice-rich classics. Seafood chowder arrives velvety with mussels, prawns and fish, perfect for dunking with garlic bread, while salt and pepper squid lands on a lively Asian salad with Vietnamese dressing.

From the curry side, butter chicken and lamb rogan josh share the spotlight with butter prawn in garlicky tomato and malai kofta swathed in creamy cashew. European stalwarts keep things hearty: golden fish and chips, or an Angus Pure steak - sirloin or scotch fillet - finished to preference with your choice of sides and sauce.

Drop in for coffee, stay for curry, and let the team do the rest. Book a table, bring good company, and let those cross-continental flavours curry favour!
