Step beneath the bustling streets of Queenstown and discover The London, a dimly lit subterranean delight that serves up nostalgia with a side of the cheekiest pizzas in town.

Down in this cosy nook, the atmosphere is thick with anticipation, much like the rich, simmering Napoli sauce they drizzle liberally on their prized pizzas. The decor whispers of old London pubs—dark wood, vintage posters plastered on the walls, and the welcoming gleam of low-hanging Edison bulbs. It's a haven where the day's bustle is muffled by the clink of glasses and shared laughter at every table.

The menu sings a siren call to those with a fondness for hearty feasts best enjoyed among friends. Start with the oozy mozzarella sticks or spicy jalapeño poppers, and make sure to dive into the cheesy garlic loaf—a gregarious opener that promises much and delivers in gusto. But the coronation here is their thin-crust pizzas. From the basic excellence of a Margherita that pays homage to the simple trinity of cheddar, mozzarella, and Napoli to the smoky revelry of meat lovers with its carnivorous congregation of pepperoni, chorizo, bacon and salami - these pizzas are what dreams are kneaded from.

Imbibing? Their offerings are curated with the same care as their crusts. Clink glasses filled with house cocktails or explore a range of craft beverages that are just as eclectic and inviting as the underground charm of the joint itself.

For an evening that’s more Pepperoni Passion than Plain Jane, where shared platters lead to shared stories, and where pizza isn’t just food but a warm, folded slice of life, look no further than The London’s inviting glow. The question remains: with gourmet toppings and fresh flavours waiting just a staircase away, what are you waiting for?
