dinner

11th Avenue, between Lakes Hayes and Shotover Country offers a cosy and inviting atmosphere, enhanced by the clean, straightforward decor and comfortable seating.

The family-run, Kiwi-owned bistro café emphasises a passion for café culture through its commitment to ethical, simple food made from locally sourced, free-range produce and high-quality, fair-trade, organic coffee. Whether catching up with friends or enjoying a quiet meal, vibrant energy and welcoming space make it a go-to spot for any occasion.

Start your meal off with a bang with the camembert in pizza bread starter, wood-fired camembert, drizzled with honey and topped with walnut and rosemary, baked inside crispy pizza bread; deliciously sharable. Or opt for the creamy seafood chowder, a rich mix of seafood in a creamy, satisfying chowder with whole clams.

Continue with a refreshing salad, the beetroot and ricotta salad mixes beetroot, quinoa, and baby spinach, dressed with walnuts and honey vinaigrette. Or, you can’t beat a chicken Caesar, a classic with crispy chicken, bacon, boiled egg, and parmesan.

If you are feeling hungry, the chef’s choice mains have more hearty options. Perhaps try the crispy skin Mt Cook salmon, served on a bed of wilted spinach with herbed perla potatoes. Otherwise, the 24-hour lamb shoulder in harissa hummus is sure to appease with herbed perla potatoes and mint yoghurt. Head to Frank’s for a tasty, wholesome meal in a relaxing setting.
