lunch

Tucked away in Frankton, Queenstown, Arctic Kitchen is a relaxed and comfortable hidden gem of a cafe with an easy-going edge. The team pours Allpress organic coffee from morning to afternoon, paired with a thoughtful lunch menu designed for effortless satisfaction. Sun-seekers and lingerers alike gravitate to the sunny, sheltered courtyard, where time slows and a second cup feels inevitable.

When it comes to the food, the kitchen leans into home-style comfort with a seasonal slant, prepared with care and a touch of indulgence. On cooler days, the all-day winter menu comes into its own - try the popular magic mushrooms, a hit with vegetarians and non-vegetarians alike.

Beyond the winter specials, you'll also find other menu favourites with a twist - think creamy mushrooms layered with caramelised onion, spinach, feta, pesto and a balsamic glaze over toast.

For those with a sweet tooth, the rhubarb crumble French toast is a must-try - a brioche number filled with apple cream cheese, crowned with crumble, rhubarb compote and a cloud of maple mascarpone.

Drop in for a leisurely lunch or a swift bite, and settle into the welcoming glow. Arctic by name, warm by nature - consider this your cue to come in from the cold!
