There's nothing quite like Mela Eatery Octagon.

Beyond the regular foodie experience, this central Dunedin dining locale allows you to take a trip through the vibrant colours and rich flavours of India and the greater Indian subcontinent, all from the comfort of your candlelit table in the Octagon.

The contemporary interiors allow the restaurant to entertain various celebratory occasions, fusing traditional accents with updated decor. Little wonder Mela translates as 'gathering'. For any type of celebration, food always manages to bring people together.

In honour of India's rich and varied culinary history, Mela's drinks menu traverses continents. Discover fine wines, craft beers, and fascinating cocktail flavours well beyond that frothy pint.

For diners seeking a genuine feast, Mela showcases a spread of traditional tastes that's perfect for sharing. Generously crafted mains, sides, indulgences and thalis adorn the selection, like the GBM platter sporting an array of charcoal grill specials, vindaloos, biryanis, kormas and modern curries.
