On the corner of Tennyson and Milton in Napier, Hawke’s Bay, Good Sport stakes its claim as the city’s House of Sports. Blending high-tech play with warm hospitality, it welcomes sports fans, families and friends alike, and doubles as a destination for the wider region.

Here, world-class golf simulators hum, a massive LED screen anchors the action, and multiple TVs keep every major sporting event in sight. From casual catch-ups to corporate functions, end-of-year parties and community events, the space flexes with the occasion, while the team delivers the great hospitality that game days demand.

The menu champions simple flavours done right, built for sharing, cheering and lingering. Think garlic flatbread torn between hands, NZ green-lipped mussels in coconut chilli broth, and pizzas that range from margherita purity to pepperoni comfort. Stacked burgers bring proper heft, whether a double beef smash or hot honey fried chicken, while fish and chips and a hot charred broccoli Caesar keep both traditionalists and those after something green happy. Younger fans are looked after, and those with a sweet tooth can tinker with a DIY Sundae or settle into a tiramisu laced with mascarpone and Kahlua.

Rally the crew, pick your vantage point and let the screens do the talking. Book in, make a night of it, and play it your way — game on.
