Just 10 minutes from Halswell and Lincoln, and 20 minutes from Christchurch, the well-known semi-rural village of Tai Tapu is home to The Store @ Tai Tapu, a delightful and charming destination café and giftshop located at the heart of this quaint community.

Focusing on the simple joy of daytime dining done well, the café serves satisfying, unfussy food with a generous spirit - ideal for an easy morning, a relaxed bite or a sweet pause in the day.

For a savoury start, The Store is renowned for the hearty big breakfast, a perfect eggs benedict and a delicious variation of creamy mushrooms. And, the chef’s specialty soup of the day paired with sourdough or local cheese rolls is certain to warm the cockles.

Those with a sweeter streak can opt for caramelised banana crepes or toasted granola paired with coconut yoghurt panna cotta. Meanwhile, vibrant smoothies like the tropical Blast, the Very Berry and the Mango delight, provide a crisp, fruit-filled lift.

Set your sights on The Store @ Tai Tapu for a laid-back plate and a fresh smoothie in your glass. Enjoy their collections of vintage bicycles, LEGO creations, and New Zealand's only complete public collection of Harrods Christmas Bears. Families, children and dogs are always most welcome. Book a table now and roll with the good times!
