GunPowder Indian Restaurant brings the pulse of Old Delhi to Amberley in Canterbury.

Founded on a unique blend of culinary passion and discipline, this spot has swiftly become a cherished gathering place for locals and visitors alike. Inside, the bright, inviting rooms are alive with aroma and conviviality, where every plate satisfies the appetite while carrying rich stories of heritage and home.

The kitchen champions bold yet balanced flavours, showcasing slow-cooked sauces, tender meats, and vibrant vegetarian fare. Think creamy butter chicken and chicken tikka masala, alongside a deeply spiced lamb vindaloo or aromatic lamb rogan josh.

Seafood also shines - from a robust prawn masala to a comforting, zesty fish curry - while biryani arrives with fragrant basmati and a flourish, serving as a stunning centrepiece that invites sharing.

Rooted in Old Delhi tradition yet at ease in its New Zealand setting, this is a place where ambient spice and warm service turn every meal into a celebration.

So, gather your favourites, make a date in Amberley, and let the aromas lead the way to GunPowder!
