Med Lounge and Garden brings a fresh Mediterranean mood to Tauranga, born from a simple idea: create the welcoming spot the city's been missing. Equal parts relaxed garden bar and inviting restaurant, it's a place that encourages lingering catch-ups, celebratory suppers and unwinding after a long day.

The kitchen roams the Mediterranean with confidence. Levantine staples like green tabouleh and fattoush set a bright, herb-led tone, while halloumi garden skewers and tiger prawns bring savoury depth and heat.

From the chef's signatures, basque lamb with smoked chimichurri and crispy quinoa hints at Iberian swagger, while octopus bruschetta lands with pickled sparkle.

Plates are designed for discovery - start with three cheese cigars, then move to charred lemon chicken or sticky date chicken from the grill. Lunch keeps things easy with soft pita sandwiches, from falafel with fresh salad to free-range chicken schnitzel, each bite layered with flavour. To finish, san sebastián cheesecake and house baklava offer two sweet dialects of indulgence.

Whether it's a leisurely lunch or an evening that stretches into clinking glasses of refreshing infusions, this is a place to settle in and savour. Book a table, bring good company and let the Mediterranean do what it does best - turn moments into memories, one more bite at a time!
