A spice-tastic staple in the Bay of Plenty, this eatery is always a winner when it comes to authentic Indian cuisine.

Over at their branch in Fraser Cove, House of Spice is where unrivalled hospitality meets tantalising dishes for a dining experience you won't forget in a hurry. The restaurant itself is a joyful communal hub, complete with all kinds of dining styles. Whether your party is big or small, loud or quiet, platonic or romantic, there's a table for everyone.

Settle into your lunch or supper with some moreish nibbles. Nothing will get the appetite roaring like a sumptuous samosa chaat with yoghurt and chickpeas, the crispy-soft cheese chilli or a pakora or three. If you're truly confident about the enormity of your appetite, their marinated kebabs and tikka delights are the way to go!

The mains take us on a curry tour around popular crowd-pleasers and the more eclectic House of Spice specials. If you know what you like, opt for the likes of butter chicken, prawn masala, palak paneer or bombay aloo. If you fancy trying something brand-spanking-new, how about their creamy seafood tawa, the rich egg curry or the elusive chef special? Want the recipe? Unfortunately, it's top secret but we like to think of it as an excuse to come back time and time again.
