Boishakhi brings the rich and diverse culinary traditions of Bangladesh to West Auckland, offering a soulful tour of flavour and fragrance. The restaurant combines a vibrant atmosphere with a thoughtful approach to traditional dishes.

The menu starts with street-side favourites like jhal muri and dal puri, offering a taste of Bengal’s lively snack culture. Main dishes include morog polao, with fragrant rice and tender chicken, and kacchi biryani, where mutton and basmati rice are layered with heady spices for a dish of quiet grandeur.

Slow-cooked curries bring depth and nuance, from robust beef vuna to the silky shahi goat rezala. From the grill, beef seekh kebab and chicken reshmi kebab arrive with smoky edges and a soft yoghurt marinade, ready to be scooped with naan or layered into flaky paratha.

For those seeking an authentic taste of Bangladesh in Auckland, Boishakhi offers tradition served with quiet confidence. Diners are encouraged to settle in, share widely, and let the biryani do the talking.
