Serving a delicious array of Mediterranean-inspired cuisine, Safran Café is the perfect spot for your next meal, whatever the occasion.

With the choice of a cosy indoor or sunny outdoor setting, it is an effortlessly stylish eatery that provides warm, friendly service with an emphasis on community. Located in the Auckland suburb of Newmarket, it is a thriving hub of activity and brings a touch of luxury to every plate.

The menu is brimming with mouth-watering creations and incredible flavours. Begin by sharing small plates, such as the calamari with lemon pepper and aioli or the tiger prawns with white wine, chilli garlic butter and salad greens.

Indulge in their pasta and risotto dishes, particularly the lamb pappardelle with slow-cooked lamb ragu, rocket mix herb, and feta, and the duck risotto with brown mushroom, mascarpone cheese, and crispy shallot.

Pizza lovers will be delighted with the selection. Choose between the classic margarita with cherry tomatoes and basil leaves and the delicious sliced steak with NZ beef, chimichurri, sautéed onion, and mushrooms. The main courses will not disappoint, either, with options such as crispy skin chicken with gourmet potatoes, green peas, baby carrot red wine jus or rolled pork belly stuffed with fennel and rosemary.

Browse the heavenly dessert menu for some sweet treats. End your meal on a high with their warm almond chocolate cake with vanilla bean ice cream or a light coconut pannacotta with mixed berry compote.

With such a delightful setting that allows diners to experience both luxury and casual dining in one location, it's no surprise that Safran Café in Newmarket has truly become a one-stop shop for all foodies.
