In the heart of Newmarket, Himalayan Fusion charts a course from the foothills of Nepal to the spice bazaars of India, with a well-judged nod to Western tastes.

It is a love letter to South Asian flavours: fragrant, gently fiery, and deftly balanced, where smoke from the tandoor meets slow-cooked gravies and bright, crunchy street-food textures.

Casual and cosy, the room hums with easy charm and that trademark hospitality so synonymous with Nepal and India. Service is warm, accommodating, and refreshingly unhurried, making it the kind of place where second helpings and long conversations feel not only welcome but encouraged.

The kitchen’s headline act is the design-your-own curry: choose a sauce, then pair it with meat, seafood, or a vegetarian alternative, and let instinct lead the way. For a chef-led ascent, there are Nepalese fish curry, Nepali goat curry, and a richly layered kashmiri rogan josh.

Sweet finishes range from gajar halwa to gulab jamun ice cream, with little diners well looked after.

Gather friends, bring an appetite, and set your sights high; this is a flavour trek worth taking, one delicious step at a time.
