Tucked away behind a charming little red door, you’ll discover an expansive and character-filled venue with a fascinating history. Once home to the Mayfair Theatre in the early 1900s, this unique space has plenty of personality. The eclectic décor brings together movie memorabilia, twinkling fairy lights, and a mix of corrugated iron and stone, creating a warm, quirky atmosphere that makes this café a little different from the rest.

The menu celebrates fresh, local produce, with a delicious selection of Kiwi favourites and internationally inspired dishes. Whether you're stopping by for breakfast or lunch, there’s something to suit every appetite. Start your morning with Belgian waffles, traditional eggs Benedict or a big, hearty classic breakfast, perfectly paired with a freshly brewed coffee to get your day off to a great start.

For lunch, enjoy a tempting range of options, from the grilled vegetable stack and pulled pork burger to post-workout dishes and open chicken sandwiches. The chilli bean nachos are a definite must-try, while those looking for something extra can add a side of curly fries with aioli or golden wedges with sour cream.

With its spacious setting and welcoming atmosphere, this café is a wonderful spot for the whole family. Whether you're catching up over breakfast, enjoying a relaxed lunch or simply stopping in for a great coffee, you’ll find plenty to enjoy behind the little red door.
