Situated in Lower Hutt, Wellington, Gear Street Union is a junction where comfort food meets creative flair. This bustling eatery is the go-to place for those looking to indulge in a laid-back meal that’s both satisfying and inventive.

Step into Gear Street Union and you’re immediately enveloped by the warmth of a space that feels both familiar and exciting. The decor strikes a balance between rustic charm and industrial chic, creating an atmosphere that’s perfect for a leisurely lunch or a casual dinner with friends.

The lunch menu is a smorgasbord of flavours, catering to a variety of tastes and dietary needs. Start with the cheesy garlic loaf, a crowd-pleaser that sets the tone for a meal that’s all about pleasure. The bowl of chips comes in various guises, ensuring everyone from the vegetarian to the gluten-intolerant can dig in without a second thought. For those with a penchant for heat, the jalapeño bites are little morsels of fiery joy.

The dirty mac is a decadent twist on the classic mac 'n' cheese, while the triple cheese and cowboy quesadillas are oozy, cheesy delights that beg to be shared – or not, we won’t judge. Seafood enthusiasts will be drawn to the Cajun prawn, and the lamb skewer offers a succulent bite for meat lovers.

Breakfast aficionados aren't left out with a benedict section that boasts unique takes like the rosti benedict and the audacious chicken and waffle bene. The avocado smash on a grain slice is a nod to the health-conscious, adorned with cherry tomatoes and smoked almonds for that extra crunch.

Gear Street Union is where the simple meets the sublime. Whether you’re tearing into a cheeseburger tostada, enjoying the comfort of eggs straight up, or savouring the crispy battered & spicy Korean BBQ sauce with pickles, every dish is a celebration of good eating. And with a website that beckons with daily deals and the promise of a perfect spot for your next event, Gear Street Union is not just a place to eat – it’s a place to gather, celebrate, and savour the moments that make life delicious.
